French ” Boulle ” Pen Wiper – Pen Brush – 19th Century

A French ” Boulle ” pen wiper or pen brush, 19th century.

Made out of wood, inlaid with brass and tortoiseshell – Boulle work.
Weighted with lead or pewter plaque.

The pen wiper measures 7,9 cm x 6 cm and 6,7 cm high.

Weight is 289 grams.

Overall in a good but used condition, some damages and losses to the wood in the corner.
Old repair on the brass on one side. A stress crack in the wood on the bottom.
